Title of article: 11. Improving methods of training mathematics teachers: cases of teaching calculus at high school
Summary: Abstract: In Vietnam, contents of teaching calculus knowledge at high school go around knowledge of real function of a real variable, whereas world mathematics researchers show that methods and techniques of approximation are the core of the major problems of calculus (including approximate number and approximate function, etc). However, the problems of approximation hardly appear in mathematics curriculum in Vietnam. In this paper, author presents a research on approximate problems with the goal of improving contents and methods of training mathematics teacher in line with calculus teaching orientation in advanced countries.
