Abstract: In the last few years, the 3D-printing technology became socially as well as in education increasingly important. The individual production of three-dimensional objects offers a lot of possibilities in teaching and learning mathematics. Materials can be reproduced, developed by the teacher or developed by the students themselves in the mathematics classroom. The field of calculus seems to be particularly suitable for the use of 3D-printing. The opportunities in this domain will be shown by three explicitly discussed examples.

11. Improving methods of training mathematics teachers: cases of teaching calculus at high school

Abstract: In Vietnam, contents of teaching calculus knowledge at high school go around knowledge of real function of a real variable, whereas world mathematics researchers show that methods and techniques of approximation are the core of the major problems of calculus (including approximate number and approximate function, etc). However, the problems of approximation hardly appear in mathematics curriculum in Vietnam. In this paper, author presents a research on approximate problems with the goal of improving contents and methods of training mathematics teacher in line with calculus teaching orientation in advanced countries.
