Abstract: This paper presents the findings from the interviews with teachers and students in some high schools in the northern mountainous provinces in Vietnam regarding the limitations and challenges in Geometry teaching and learning practice. The research also reveals the outcome of the application of some softwares to support the Geometry teaching for high school ethnic minority students in the mountainous northern region Vietnam.

Before needs to improve the quality of education and the requirements of development information and communications technology in society in general and education in particular, the initiative "Schools connected" to assist in fostering teachers are deployed in a coordinated, teachers across the country have access to the professional development program. This is one of very creative ideas and timeliness of the Ministry of Education and Training. From the 2014-2015 school year, the Ministry of Education and Training has developed school system connection, which enables organizations to manage the operations and expertise via the Internet. The paper presents a number of measures to enhance the effectiveness of teacher training through the school system connection.
