Abstract: The article mentions some theoretical issues of applying teaching theory to preparing lesson plans and presents situation of levels of applying teaching theory to designing lesson plans of pedagogical students at Vinh University. In general, most students have not applied effectively the teaching theory into the practice of lesson design, thus quality of lesson plans has not met requirements. This situation requires improvement of effectiveness of teaching Pedagogy at Vinh University.

Abstract: Lesson planning is one of key skills of teachers. Therefore, guiding teachers and pre-teachers to design lesson plans is considered an important part in teacher training, especially in the context of secondary education reform in the direction of competence-based approach. This article presents the instructions of Center for Research on Learning and Teaching, University of Michigan on strategies for effective lesson planning carried out the application in teacher training in Vietnam.

This article presents the abilities of making lesson plans and there are methods helping for students of primary education through teaching the subjects of mathematic methods.
