Abstract: This paper aims at discussing the theoretical basis as well as the pedagogical potential of using games in teaching mathematics at high schools. A study on the literature, namely international publications pertaining to this topic, enables us to confirm the role of Mathematical Games and Games for Teaching Mathematics - hereinafter referred to as Educational Games for Teaching Mathematics (EGTMs). We have also collected, tested and annotated 26 games in order to initiate a supporting library of EGTMs for interested colleagues.

Abstract: CLIL refers to teaching subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Biology, etc. through a foreign language. In this paper, we try to answer the following questions: 1) Can we teach 6th grade Mathematics through English? 2) - How often can we teach 6th grade Mathematics through English? 3) How can we teach 6th grade Mathematics in English effectively? To answer these questions, firstly, we study current 6th grade Mathematics curriculum and English curriculum in Vietnam to find the knowledge and skills that Vietnamese 6th grade students have already acquired and what they have to learn more in 6th grade. After that, we choose some 6th grade Mathematics contents and English contents which can be taught together. Finally, we propose the ways to use CLIL approach to teach those contents effectively.

Abstract: Constructivism, an educational theory describing the process of knowledge construction, has been applIed in mathematics education in many countries. This article proposes some suggestions for applying constructivism theory in mathemactics teaching. Subsequently, the author presents some mathematics teaching and learning situations in which students are supported to construct the concepts of the sequence with the limit zero and continuous function at a point (Analytics grade 11). In these situations, students have a chance to self-study, cooperate in group to construct new concepts.
