05. Situation of skills of problem solving of children aged 5 to 6 in familiarising with mathematics

Abstract: Developing problem-solving skills for children aged 5 to 6 is an important task of kindergartens. These skills can be improved through learning activities to familiarise with mathematics. The article analyses situation of developing problem solving skills for kindergarteners aged 5 to 6. The results of the research show that efficiency of learning activities to promote skills of problem solving for kindergarteners through familiarising with mathematics has not met the requirements of society, although the teaching staff awares fully importance of developing these skills. Therefore, it is necessary to further studies to find out solutions to improve problem solving skills for students aged 5 to 6.

Abstract: Developing problem-solving skills for children aged 5 to 6 plays an important role in helping children develop competence to adapt to real life. Building these skills must be based on the nature of the problem-solving process and the real life of the children. The article proposes measures to develop solving problem skills for children aged 5 to 6 through familiarising mathematics, focusing on forming skills of detecting problems, exploring information and creating ideas as well as evaluating results.
