Abstract: Can Tho University, as a key university in the Mekong Delta region, has strived to exploit E-learning in order to create opportunities and advances to meet learning demands of students inside and outside the region. The paper, based on the university’s E-learning model, analyzes and assesses the reality and proposes some policies to develop this form of training to become one of the common practices of training in the coming time, creating more opportunities for people and communities to participate in a learning society, following the inevitable future trend.

Abstract: The paper discusses the current situation of high school teachers’ self-training activities at Phong Dien district, Can Tho city. In effect, during the initial implementation, there have been numerous challenges and contraints including: perceiving the importance of teacher self-training, planning self-training activities, diversifying forms of self-training, implementing relating regimes and policies as well as assess and evaluate teachers’ self-training activities. Accordingly, the paper proposes some solutions to support high schools in Phong Dien district, Can Tho city to improve effectiveness of their teachers’ self-training activities to fulfill current educational reform requirements.

Abstract: This paper analyzes and evaluates the current situation of teacher training in these institutions to points out the causes of the shortcomings as well as inadequacies of in-service teacher training programs, and then proposes solutions to enhance teacher training competencies of education universities/faculties in Mekong Delta region in alignment with the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive education reform in Vietnam.

Abstract: In order to radically and comprehensively reform Vietnam's education and training system, it's necessary that all government levels and sectors share responsibilities and resolution; the whole political system and society brainstorm and join hands. This paper analyses the core and essential problems and proposes innovative solutions in the radical and comprehensive reform of comtemporary education and training system in Vietnam.
