Abstract: The article analyzes the advantages of assignments/tasks related to real life in teaching Mathematics at lower secondary level towards developing students’ creative competence; identifies some typical characteristics of lower secondary students’ creative competence in learning Mathematics through solving exercises/ tasks related to real life; proposes the procedure for designing and using assignments/ tasks related to real life in teaching Mathematics subject at lower secondary level towards developing students’ creative competence, and provides some of illustrated examples.
