Abstract: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the benefits and challenges of using electronic calculators for teaching Mathematics in high schools. The study is based on the survey results
and survey data analysis from Mathematics teachers, professional managers and students selected from high schools in Thai Nguyen province and 6 representative provinces of different regions. Data were compared with evaluations mentioned in some published papers of high reliability. From the analysis of potentials and challenges, the paper also recommends some measures to effectively use calculators for teaching Mathematics in high schools.
